Demet Özdemir received her B.A. from Middle East Technical University and her masters in International Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics. She obtained her Executive Business Education at Northwestern University, Kellogg Business School. She is currently a Partner and Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) Strategic Growth Markets Leader at EY. She was promoted to Partner and was appointed the Transaction Support Leader and Private Equity Leader at EY in 2005 for Turkey. She worked as the Central and Southeastern Europe Markets Leader, Transaction Advisory Services from 2013 onwards and today as the leader of Strategic Growth her role is to lead, inspire and support the Market Segment Leaders and their teams to identify and pursue high-growth accounts. Demet joined EY in 2002 and is based in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to the merger of EY and Andersen in September 2002, Demet has spent ten years at Andersen where she had six years of auditing and four years of corporate finance experience. In her work, she strives to further the role of women as entrepreneurs. At EY, she is an EMEIA Women network member, plays an active role in the working clusters for women's agenda and had been personally invited for "More Women at Boardrooms" cross company mentoring program in Turkey.
