Jennifer Luz-Olson has been a member of SIA for 23 years and has held every office at the Club level. Currently Jennifer is serving as District II Secretary in the Desert Coast Region and was also recently elected to the Region Nominating Committee. Jennifer was encouraged to join by her Mom, Sherry Luz, who has been a member for 26 years. Together Jennifer and Sherry travel to Conventions and meetings. Jennifer has attended all International Conventions except Helsinki since joining Soroptimist.
Professionally, Jennifer has been a licensed Realtor in Southern California for nearly 25 years, specializing in Residential Sales and Property Management. She is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Political Science and a specialization in International Relations. Jennifer speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, some Italian and can even shop in German!
Jennifer is also very active with the Boys Scouts of America. She is an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 669, the troop in which her son achieved the highest rank - Eagle Scout. Jennifer working on her B.S.A. Woodbadge for adult leadership and is committed to helping other Boys Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle . She strives to demonstrate to the youths and their parents with whom she has contact, that women can be good leaders and that the boys should treat women with respect, that they should be "helpful" in assisting others to achieve their goals and dreams. Jennifer believes that teaching the boys these simple things early in life will eventually help create a society were the girls are accepted and valued as highly boys. Jennifer is here to discuss S.
