Flora first became involved in public speaking whilst attending Trinity Catholic School in Leamington Spa. She took part in the school's public speaking competition, which then led her to taking part in the Soroptimist public speaking competition. Her speech on "Should Euthanasia be Legalised?" which she performed at the competition in 2012, gained a Special Mention. She then returned in 2013 with her speech, "Books, Are They a Thing of the Past?" gained her first place.

She has always enjoyed public speaking, acting as Head Girl whilst at Trinity Sixth Form, and attending Stagecoach Theatre Arts. Flora is now a student at the University of Bath reading Education with Psychology and hopes to go on to do an Master in Arts in Acting after she graduates.

Flora relates that she spends a great deal of her time with the Drama Society at university, having performed in A Christmas Carol; A Woman of No Importance and The Importance of Being Earnest to name but a few, and in the future she hopes to pursue acting as a career.
