Rengin Yiğitbaş Akıllıoğlu, graduated from Kadikoy Anatolian Highschool, completed her B.Sc. in Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 1987 and received her Masters Degree in Economics at Bogazici University. She attended Leadership Program in 2006 at Harvard Business School. She began her career at NASAS Aluminium Inc. in Istanbul in 1987 and joined Turkish Airlines Inc. (THY) in 1989, became CFO in 2004 and retired in 2010 while serving as Managing Director for Chicago and US Midwest. During her time at THY she was also auditing Director of Board at Sun Express Airlines. She Co-Chaired the Middle East Region at International Aviation Women's Association (IAWA) during 2004-2010. In 2006, she was announced by the US as Eisenhower Fellow from Turkey. She has been spokesperson in national and international conferences, has articles published in printed media. She is among the speakers of Indeks Speaker Agency (Leigh Bureau).Her career story and business vision had been honored by the authors Theodore Friend (American) in his book "Woman, Man and God in Modern Islam" in 2012. During 2010-2014, she was the Executive Committee Member of DEIK/ SAIK , TUSIAD/TAIK and Turkish Accredited Hospitals. She is the pioneer and leader of medical tourism project, initiated by Turkish Airlines in the US in 2007. She joined Acibadem Healthcare Group in 2010, worked as Chief Financial Officer , Coordinator USA , the Board Secretary and in 2013 -l 2014 worked as Advisor to the Board at Acibadem. She joined GE Aviation in June 2015 to serve as Middle East General Manager residing in Dubai. She is the mother of a son born in 1998.
